Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and automation.

You will collaborate with development, product and operations teams to deliver reliable releases, maintain pipelines and automate deployments. The role requires Docker and Kubernetes expertise, IaC with Terraform, and scripting in Bash/PowerShell/Python.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, with 2-3 years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure or system administration.
• Experience delivering DevOps solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP with services like EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, VPC, IAM.
• Experience building reliable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Nexus and Maven.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform.
• Scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, JavaScript or Groovy.
• Familiarity with application performance monitoring (APM), logging and observability tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Vault, Grafana, Prometheus, Keycloak or ELK stack.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and system designs.
• Strong collaboration, initiative and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development, Product and Operations teams to deliver releases and plan maintenance.
• Perform daily system monitoring, backups, deployments and maintenance to ensure availability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated testing for quality releases.
• Develop scripts for service monitoring and health checks.
• Provision and manage scalable infrastructure using automation, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate security hardening across testing, deployment and production environments.
• Prepare and maintain operational guides and runbooks, and provide training.
• Promote DevOps practices and continuously improve release processes.
• Evaluate new tools to improve performance and reliability.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
