Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a DevOps engineer in Singapore to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC, and enhance platform reliability. You will work on cloud deployments, container orchestration, and observability to drive fast, secure software delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools, plus strong scripting and monitoring capabilities. Collaboration with cloud providers and security-minded automation is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong DevOps and cloud background with AWS or similar.
• "Hands-on" with CI/CD design, implementation, and optimization.
• Proficient in IaC tools to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Experience building and operating containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience administering Linux and Windows systems, patching and performance tuning.
• Experience with web/app servers (JBoss, Apache) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of networking concepts as they relate to cloud/on-prem deployments.
• Proficient scripting in Bash or Python for automation, with observability tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster, reliable deployments.
• Manage IaC assets using Terraform, Terragrunt, or Ansible for consistent provisioning.
• Improve observability with metrics, logs, and tracing using Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• Support platform reliability through monitoring, automated testing, and tuning performance.
• Drive DevSecOps integration within pipelines and governance.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline provisioning and deployments.
• Collaborate with cloud providers to manage environments and deployment pipelines.
• Handle infrastructure resources such as servers, VMs, containers, and related services.
