Job summary

FOURTECHPAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Cloud and DevOps Engineer to build and automate cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines supporting web and mobile apps. You will provision AWS environments, secure configurations and drive automation across deployment, monitoring and incident response.

The role requires strong experience with CI/CD tools, containers, IaC, scripting and security practices, and collaboration with developers, security teams and project managers.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (compute, storage, networking, IAM, databases).
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline).
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or Amazon ECS/EKS).
• Scripting proficiency (Bash, Python or similar) for automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack).
• Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing and security concepts in cloud environments.
• Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git and branching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Automate builds, tests, packaging, and deployments for development, UAT, and production.
• Integrate automated tests and security checks into delivery pipelines.
• Manage artifacts, deployment credentials and secrets securely.
• Implement production approval controls, deployment validation and rollback procedures.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and resolve build/deployment issues with developers.
• Manage cloud costs and optimize environments; document architecture and runbooks; support security audits.

Job description

Role Overview

The Cloud and DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, automating and maintaining the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support the delivery of web and mobile applications. Working closely with development teams, Tech Leads and Project Managers, the role provisions and manages AWS environments, streamlines build/test/release workflows, enforces infrastructure security and compliance standards, and drives automation and continuous improvement across deployment, monitoring and incident response. The role ensures that solutions are deployed reliably, securely and efficiently, meeting client and public-sector compliance expectations.

• Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, or equivalent platforms.
• Automate application builds, testing, packaging, and deployments across development, UAT, and production environments.
• Integrate automated tests, code quality checks, and security scans into delivery pipelines.
• Manage versioned build artifacts, environment configurations, deployment credentials, and secrets securely.
• Implement production approval controls, deployment validation, and rollback procedures.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and work with developers to resolve build and deployment issues.
• Manage and optimize cloud costs, environments and resource utilization. Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and environment issues across development, staging and production. Document infrastructure architecture, pipeline configurations, operational procedures and runbooks. Support compliance with public-sector security requirements and participate in security audits and reviews

Domain Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (compute, storage, networking, IAM, databases).
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline).
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or Amazon ECS/EKS).
• Scripting proficiency (Bash, Python or similar) for automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack).
• Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing and security concepts in cloud environments.
• Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git and branching strategies.
• Familiarity with deploying and supporting web and mobile application stacks (e.g., Node.js, ReactJS) is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or another relevant AWS certification.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional would be an advantage.
• Experience with Docker and container platforms such as Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, or Kubernetes.
• Exposure to configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Familiarity with deployment approaches such as rolling, blue/green, or canary releases.
• Experience working with security, network, or platform engineering teams.
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• Certification in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) or Terraform

• Ability to work closely with developers, infrastructure engineers, security teams, and vendors.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage operational priorities and follow change management procedures.
