Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cloud AWS Network Engineer to support the operation and optimization of our hybrid network and cloud infrastructure. This role involves managing secure network access, maintaining cloud connectivity, and ensuring reliable system performance. The successful candidate will be well-versed in firewall technologies, VPNs, and cloud networking, and comfortable working in a structured IT environment.

Location: AMK

Working hours: Monday to Friday, Standard Office Hours

Responsibilities:

• Administer and support enterprise firewalls, particularly Palo Alto, including configuration of VPN access and GlobalProtect.
• Manage cloud networking setups, especially within AWS environments (e.g., VPCs, route tables, NAT gateways, and security groups).
• Monitor and respond to network issues and service disruptions, following structured IT service management (ITSM) processes.
• Collaborate across infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to maintain resilient and secure connectivity for both on-premises and cloud systems.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation covering network configurations, procedures, and system changes.
• Act as a communication bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on network performance and reliability.

Requirements:

• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and understanding of core networking components within cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall management, particularly with Palo Alto Networks technologies.
• Familiarity with IT service management frameworks, especially key ITIL practices such as incident, change, and problem management.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
• Industry certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or networking (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco) will be a strong advantage.
