Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Developer with strong hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure administration, resource provisioning, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), system maintenance, and Application Managed Services (AMS).
This is a hands-on cloud engineering role, not an AWS Architecture position. The successful candidate will be responsible for provisioning and maintaining AWS environments, supporting large-scale systems, implementing automation, managing production environments, and ensuring systems meet security, logging, and vulnerability-management requirements under GCC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on AWS infrastructure administration, resource provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and standardise AWS resource deployment.
- Support Day 0 activities, including environment setup, resource provisioning, configuration, deployment readiness, and operational handover.
- Maintain and support large-scale AWS systems and production environments.
- Provide AMS / Application Managed Services support, including incident resolution, troubleshooting, system maintenance, and continuous optimisation.
- Work with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and ElastiCache.
- Configure and manage event-driven and messaging services including SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
- Manage AWS IAM roles and permissions, Secrets Manager, encryption, and other cloud security controls.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automated application and infrastructure deployments.
- Monitor system and application health using Amazon CloudWatch, responding to alerts and operational issues.
- Troubleshoot performance, availability, connectivity, and production issues across AWS environments.
- Support system upgrades, patches, maintenance activities, and operational improvements.
- Ensure AWS environments comply with GCC security, logging, monitoring, and vulnerability-management requirements.
- Work closely with development, application, security, and operations teams to ensure reliable and secure cloud operations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud development / infrastructure administration.
- Experience managing and maintaining large-scale AWS environments and systems.
- Strong experience with AWS resource provisioning and infrastructure management.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with AMS / Application Managed Services and production support.
- Hands-on experience with several of the following:

- Experience working within GCC security/compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a production environment and manage multiple operational priorities.
