Job summary

OCBC Group in Singapore seeks a Software Engineer to design and deliver microservices-based banking applications. You will translate business requirements into scalable solutions and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

You will apply RESTful architectures, cloud-native patterns, and modern frameworks like Spring Boot and Kafka. The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and continuous learning in a fast-moving banking environment.

Qualifications

Degree in IT-related discipline.
Hands-on Temenos Transact (T24) integration experience.
Experience with JBOSS and WebLogic application servers.
Strong understanding of MVC, data modeling, deployment & build management.
Experience with cloud-native microservices, container orchestration, CI/CD, API design.
Familiar with AWS or OpenShift.
Proficient in Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA.
Experience with MQ/Kafka.

Responsibilities

Develops and delivers technology development work for Wealth Core Banking integrations.
Designs APIs and microservices with REST architecture and Swagger documentation.
Ensures scalability, performance, and efficient resource use of services.
Integrates and deploys microservices with cloud tooling and orchestration.
Identifies and resolves performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
Monitors service health and implements logging, monitoring and alerts.
