Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore seeks a senior data analytics and AI solution professional to shape the Compliance Innovation roadmap. You will design PoCs, deploy production-grade analytics pipelines, and perform model validation while ensuring regulatory alignment and risk controls.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, translate complex analyses into actionable insights, and drive enterprise adoption of AI-driven workflows across the bank.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data analytics, ML and AI solution development incl. 1+ year with LLMs and Generative AI.
• Experience in financial crime risk surveillance or compliance analytics in banking (Singapore) preferred.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with large-scale data handling.
• Solid knowledge of ML algorithms, AI technologies, LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Experience with AI agent development and deployment on cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
• Proactive, analytical thinker with attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

What you do

• Contribute to the development and execution of the Compliance Innovation roadmap, ensuring data analytics and AI initiatives are strategically aligned with the Bank's business priorities and compliance objectives.
• Design, develop, and validate proof-of-concept (PoC) data analytics and AI solutions, leveraging outcome-driven testing to assess feasibility, effectiveness, and business value.
• Support the scaling and enterprise adoption of successful PoCs by managing the end-to-end development and deployment of production-grade analytics pipelines, machine learning models, and agentic AI workflows.
• Perform model validation, evaluation and regular reviews to ensure model robustness, reliability, explainability, and compliance with internal governance standards and regulatory expectations.
• Conduct ongoing financial crime risk surveillance using advanced analytics and AI capabilities; investigate anomalies, assess transactional risks, and elevate high-risk or suspicious activities for further review and action.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and business impact of data analytics and AI initiatives, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and intelligence, delivering compelling narratives through reports, presentations, and stakeholder communications.

Who you are

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Business or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, machine learning (ML), and AI solution development, including at least 1 year of hands-on experience in Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and agentic AI applications.
• Demonstrated experience or strong exposure to financial crime risk surveillance, compliance analytics, or a related risk management function within the Singapore banking sector is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with extensive experience in managing, transforming, and analysing large-scale datasets to generate actionable insights.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, modern AI technologies, LLM architectures, and prompt engineering techniques.
• Practical experience with AI agent development frameworks and deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Passionate about exploring, prototyping, and implementing AI-driven solutions, particularly agentic AI use cases in content generation, information retrieval, workflow automation and intelligent decision support.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail and a natural aptitude for research, investigation, and problem-solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and varying levels of seniority.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and analytical findings in a clear and compelling manner for both technical and business audiences.
