Job summary

OCBC Group in Singapore is building an AI-driven financial crime investigations team. We seek an experienced Analyst to identify patterns, assess risks, and generate actionable intelligence from internal data, OSINT, and vendor sources.

You will support investigations into money laundering, fraud, sanctions evasion, and related typologies, while collaborating with Financial Crime Compliance and business units. Strong analytical minds who value integrity will thrive.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform network-link analysis and intelligence leads-generation using AI with internal data, analytics tools, OSINT, and external sources.
  • Support investigations into money laundering, fraud, sanctions evasion, mule accounts and related typologies.
  • Analyze customer, account and relationship data for outliers and criminal networks.
  • Identify emerging financial crime trends and high-risk typologies.
  • Develop and refine investigation methodologies and intelligence products.
  • Prepare clear investigation reports, intelligence assessments and management presentations.
  • Collaborate with Financial Crime Compliance, Business Units and control functions.
  • Stay updated on evolving financial crime regulations relevant to banking and wealth management.
  • Support ad-hoc intelligence and investigative initiatives by the GSI team.

How You Succeed

The ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and collaborate effectively with stakeholders will be key to delivering successful investigative outcomes.

What you do
  • Perform network-link analysis and intelligence leads-generation through the innovative usage of AI, combined with data from internal bank systems, data analytics tools, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and other external information sources to support and progress investigations.
  • Support and participate in investigations relating to money laundering, fraud, sanctions evasion, mule account activities, corruption, and other financial crime typologies.
  • Conduct transactional reviews and analyze customer, account, and relationship data to perform outlier analysis, analyze behavioural patterns and establish criminal networks.
  • Assist in identifying emerging financial crime trends, illicit syndicates, and typologies that may present heightened risks to the Bank.
  • Support the development and refinement of investigation methodologies, analytical frameworks, and intelligence products to enhance investigative effectiveness.
  • Prepare clear and concise investigation reports, intelligence assessments, management presentations, and case summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders from Financial Crime Compliance, Business Units, and other control functions.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving financial crime regulations, typologies, and intelligence developments relevant to the banking and wealth management sectors.
  • Support ad-hoc intelligence and investigative initiatives undertaken by the GSI team.
Who you are

Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Criminology, Data Analytics, Law, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial crime compliance, investigations, intelligence analysis, transaction monitoring, AML surveillance, or related compliance functions within a financial institution. Candidates with Private Banking Compliance, Wealth Management Compliance, or Private Banking Financial Crime Compliance may have an advantage.

Technical & Professional Skills
  • Good understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), sanctions, fraud, and financial crime risk management principles.
  • Experience conducting investigations and analyzing complex customer relationships, transaction flows, and source-of-wealth/source-of-funds information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess large datasets and identify meaningful patterns and connections.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior experience deploying data-analytics tools or machine-learning models in the financial-crime domain is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with private banking products, client structures, trusts, offshore entities, and high-net-worth client risk considerations is preferred.
