WhiteCrow Research Pvt. Ltd. is recruiting an AVP, Index Operations to oversee daily index platform operations for a leading global investment institution.

You will ensure accurate publication of index values, rigorous data quality controls, and robust governance across the index framework. This role requires 5+ years in index management, deep knowledge of financial instruments, and strong analytical skills.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of experience in index management.
• Good knowledge of financial instruments and markets; CFA may be beneficial.
• Strong data and process-oriented analytical skills.
• High learning agility and ability to connect the dots.
• Experience designing governance workflows and improving processes.

Responsabilidades

• Run daily operations of the index platform and ensure timely publication of index values.
• Maintain rigorous quality control over index data and methodology checks.
• Ensure accuracy of data used for index calculations (prices, market cap, etc.).
• Identify and resolve operational issues related to index calculations and publications.
• Identify opportunities for platform enhancements, automation, and scalability.
• Collaborate with IT to implement new tools and technologies for index operations.
• Lead projects related to index platform enhancements with timely delivery.
• Provide support to stakeholders on index-related inquiries and issues.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks for index operations.

As an AVP, Index Operations, you will be responsible for...

Index Operations:

• Manage Daily Operations: Running the daily operations of the index platform, ensuring timely and accurate calculation and publication of index values.
• Quality Control: Implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of index data and core index methodology checks.
• Data Management: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data used for index calculations, including prices, market capitalization, and other relevant metrics.
• Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving any operational issues or discrepancies related to index calculations, index methodology, and publications.

Solutioning and Innovation:

• Platform Enhancement: Identifying opportunities for improving the index platform, including automation, scalability, and efficiency enhancements.
• Technology Integration: Collaborating with IT and technology teams to implement new tools and technologies that enhance index operations.
• Process Improvement: Developing and implementing process improvements to streamline index operations and reduce operational risk.
• Project Management: Leading and managing projects related to index platform enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

• Client Support: Providing support to stakeholders regarding index-related inquiries and issues.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other departments, including data and rebalancing, to ensure alignment and support for index operations.
• Stakeholder Management: Demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills to serve as the central interface for multiple functions, balancing the priorities of various teams and managing the constructive tension between investment department business priorities and central governance and enterprise requirements.

Governance:

• Governance: Establishing and maintaining governance frameworks for index operations, including policies, procedures, and controls.

What you already have...

• Degree holder with at least 5 years of working experience in index management.
• Possess good knowledge of financial instruments and markets. An additional qualification like CFA will be considered favourably.
• Passion for data and process-oriented analysis with strong analytic and business diagnostic skills
• Strong learning agility with the ability to “connect the dots”.
• Good grasp of process design, operational problem solving, governance workflows, with an eye for streamlining and efficiency.
