Job description

WHO WE ARE: As Singapore’s longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932. How? By taking the time to truly understand people. From there, we provide support, services, solutions, and career paths that meet their individual needs and desires. Today, we’re on a journey of transformation. Leveraging technology and creativity to become a future-ready learning organisation. But for all that change, our strategic ambition is consistently clear and bold, which is to be Asia’s leading financial services partner for a sustainable future. We invite you to build the bank of the future. Innovate the way we deliver financial services. Work in friendly, supportive teams. Build lasting value in your community. Help people grow their assets, business, and investments. Take your learning as far as you can. Or simply enjoy a vibrant, future-ready career. Your Opportunity Starts Here.

Why Join People Operations & Digital HR is driving the transformation of HR services through digital platforms, data, automation, and user-centred process design. In this role, you will lead and drive initiatives that enable smarter, simpler, and more connected HR experiences for employees, people managers, candidates, and HR users across OCBC. You will work at the intersection of HR operations, modern cloud technology, intelligent automation, and change enablement, translating business and user needs into scalable enterprise digital solutions. This is an opportunity to shape the future of HR by scaling advanced digital adoption, spearheading next-generation AI integrations, and enabling predictive, data-led decision‑making across the HR ecosystem.

How you succeed

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong functional understanding of HR ecosystems, digital platform delivery experience, and the ability to work effectively and credibly across business, risk, and technology teams. You are comfortable translating complex organisational requirements into practical solutions, managing end-to-end digital enhancements from concept to delivery, and supporting effective platform adoption. You will be successful when you can effectively combine hands‑on execution with structured problem‑solving, stakeholder partnership, and responsible use of AI‑enabled improvement opportunities, while keeping the employee and HR user experience at the centre of what you do.

What you do
  • Platform Ownership & Optimization: Drive the delivery, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of core HR digital platforms, focusing on Workday HCM, advanced custom applications, and next‑gen workflows.
  • Custom Architecture & Integrations: Partner with HR, technology teams, and external vendors to design and deploy custom enterprise applications utilizing Workday Extend, while overseeing foundational integrations (EIB, PECI, PICOF, Workday Studio, and Web Services).
  • AI & Agentic Automation: Identify, test, and deploy intelligent automation use cases—including Workday Illuminate, autonomous AI agents, and machine learning features to streamline HR service delivery and enhance employee self‑service.
  • Data Capabilities & Insights: Architect advanced reporting frameworks, composite dashboards, and native analytical tools to synthesize complex workforce data into actionable insights, while driving the future application of Workday People Analytics and Workday Skills Cloud to enable strategic talent mapping and cross‑functional planning across the group.
  • Deployment & Lifecycle Management: Oversee configuration, strict regression testing, release readiness, and post‑implementation stabilization for complex bi‑annual Workday updates and internal platform transformations.
  • Governance & Regulated Compliance: Manage user access controls, strict data privacy quality, and security architecture to ensure complete audit readiness within a highly regulated banking environment.
  • Change Enablement & Leadership: Lead workstreams and cross‑functional project teams, establishing operational playbooks and communication strategies that maximise digital adoption among HR colleagues and employees.
Who you are
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, Human Resources, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. A Master’s degree or MBA would be advantageous.
  • Experience: Relevant experience commensurate with AVP level, typically including hands‑on involvement in Workday ecosystem management, HRIS, or large‑scale HR digital transformation. Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Workday Expertise: Strong functional understanding of Workday HCM, business process configuration, security groups, tenant setup, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Integrations & Extend: Proven experience or strong functional exposure to Workday Extend and Workday integration concepts, including EIB, PECI, PICOF, Workday Studio, APIs, or Web Services.
  • AI Enablement: Good awareness of how Workday AI capabilities, AI‑enabled integrations, agentic workflows, and automation use cases can be applied to improve HR service delivery, employee self‑service, and operational efficiency.
  • Responsible AI & Governance: Good understanding of data protection, access controls, human oversight, model governance, and compliance considerations when deploying AI‑enabled solutions in HR.
  • Data Capabilities: Strong data competency, including Workday reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools to support workforce insights, adoption tracking, and continuous improvement.
  • Delivery & Change: Experience supporting or leading project workstreams, release readiness, testing, change impact assessment, vendor coordination, and user adoption activities. Familiarity with Agile delivery methods would be advantageous.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across HR, technology, risk, audit, governance, and business teams.
