Job summary

Aviation Safety and Training PTE. LTD. is seeking a Head of Training to oversee the TRTO training function, ensuring CAAS SASP compliance and high training standards across all programmes.

The role requires extensive flying and training management experience, CBTA implementation expertise, and proven leadership within aviation training organisations. You will lead instructors, audits, and regulatory liaison to maintain safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• CAAS ATPL and CAAS Flight Instructor Rating / Type Rating (A320) are required.
• Minimum 5,000 hours total flying experience as a pilot on multi-crew aircraft, preferably with Airbus A320 experience.
• Minimum 3,000 hours of command experience.
• Minimum 1,000 hours of full flight simulator training experience.
• Demonstrated experience in aviation training and training management.
• Experience in UPRT and CBTA programmes and assessment standards.
• Proven leadership and management capability within a TRTO, ATO or aviation training organisation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure TRTO complies with CAAS regulations, SASP requirements and approved training standards.
• Oversee qualifications, competence and training performance of instructors.
• Maintain adequate qualified training personnel to conduct activities.
• Monitor and maintain training quality and standards delivered by instructors.
• Oversee instructor competency through proficiency checks, audits and performance monitoring.
• Establish and maintain training policies, procedures and processes.
• Implement CBTA and other competency-based training methodologies.
• Ensure training programmes, syllabi, lesson plans and assessments meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Identify shortfalls and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain high standard of safety, discipline and professionalism.
