Job summary

Tech AALTO PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Avaloq Architect to design, lead, and govern complex Avaloq-based banking and wealth management platforms, ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and regulatory alignment.

You will collaborate with business, technology, operations and vendor teams to translate requirements into scalable architecture, define standards, review designs, and guide implementation, upgrades and integrations across Avaloq modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in banking technology, wealth management platforms, or financial services.
• 5+ years of hands-on Avaloq architecture, implementation, configuration, or integration.
• Experience designing Avaloq solutions for private/retail/investment banking or asset management.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall architecture for Avaloq core banking and wealth management solutions.
• Translate requirements into scalable Avaloq architecture designs.
• Design Avaloq configurations, customisations, integrations, interfaces, and extensions.
• Develop solution architecture documents, technical specifications, integration designs, and architecture decision records.
• Provide architectural guidance across Avaloq modules such as client/account management, portfolio/wealth management, securities/trading, payments/cash management, and compliance.

Job Description: Avaloq Architect

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Avaloq Architect to design, lead, and govern the implementation and enhancement of Avaloq-based banking and wealth management platforms. The role will work closely with business, technology, operations, and vendor teams to ensure that Avaloq solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the overall architecture for Avaloq core banking and wealth management solutions.
• Translate business and technology requirements into scalable Avaloq architecture designs.
• Design Avaloq configurations, customisations, integrations, interfaces, and extensions.
• Develop solution architecture documents, technical specifications, integration designs, and architecture decision records.
• Provide architectural guidance across Avaloq modules, including:
• Client and account management
• Portfolio and wealth management
• Securities and trading
• Payments and cash management
• Corporate actions
• Fees and commissions
• Compliance and regulatory reporting
• Data migration and reporting
• Design integrations between Avaloq and external systems such as CRM, digital channels, payment platforms, market-data providers, risk systems, data warehouses, and regulatory platforms.
• Establish standards for Avaloq configuration, custom code, interfaces, environments, and deployment practices.
• Review technical designs and ensure compliance with architecture, security, performance, and operational standards.
• Lead or support Avaloq implementation, upgrade, migration, and transformation programmes.
• Assess the impact of Avaloq releases, patches, upgrades, and new functionality.
• Provide technical leadership to Avaloq consultants, developers, business analysts, and implementation partners.
• Support performance tuning, capacity planning, high availability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for simplification or automation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data, and enterprise architecture teams.
• Support production incidents, root‑cause analysis, and long‑term remediation.
• Ensure that solutions comply with applicable banking, data protection, information security, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in banking technology, wealth management platforms, or financial services.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience withAvaloq architecture,implementation, configuration, or integration.
• Proven experience designing Avaloq solutions for private banking, retail banking, investment banking, or asset management environments.
• Strong knowledge of Avaloq modules, architecture, configuration principles, and integration patterns.
• Experience with Avaloq upgrades, migrations, customisation, and release management.
• Practical experience with APIs, middleware, messaging, batch processing, and system integration.
• Knowledge of databases, SQL, data models, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience with high‑availability, disaster‑recovery, security, and performance architecture.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles, DevSecOps, and change‑management processes.
• Experience working with implementation partners, vendors, and distributed delivery teams.

Desirable Qualifications

• Avaloq certification or formal Avaloq Academy training.
• TOGAF, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other architecture certification.
• Experience with Avaloq Core, ACP, or related Avaloq platform components.
• Knowledge of Avaloq Front, APIs, integration frameworks, or digital banking channels.
• Experience in cloud adoption, platform modernisation, or hybrid‑cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of AML/KYC, regulatory reporting, risk, tax, and data‑governance requirements.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
