Job summary

HCLTech in Singapore seeks an experienced Avaloq developer to lead and contribute to solution design and validation across wealth banking domains. You will drive functional and technical design, coordinate with stream leads, and ensure high quality deliverables while supporting client workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering/CS.
• 6-8 years of Avaloq development experience.
• Experience leading discussions with business and operations.
• Knowledge of financial/global market regulations.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support analysis & design, workshops, driver or co-driver of solution validation.
• Lead or support stream leads / BAs to scope changes with cost optimization.
• Maintain functional & technical designs for new features.
• Code and unit test assigned work packages.
• Report progress, risks and issues; escalate appropriately.
• Support SMEs; act as technical contact for projects/workshops.
• Perform unit testing and SIT in testing phase.
• Assist in UAT with issue understanding and defect fixes.

Job description

• Lead or Support analysis & design, workshops, driver or co-driver of solution validation under assigned domain to ensure consistent and complete requirement and solution coverage.
• Lead or Support Stream Leads and/or BAs in order to scope the changes. Think outside the box, always consider business needs, and be prepared to challenge the requirements & solutions. Any solution must be cost-optimum.
• Maintain functional & technical designs for new features or adaption.
• Perform coding & unit test of the assigned work package.
• Report on the progresses, risks and issues. Escalate to the lead developer/stream lead/ project manager on a timely manner
• Support subject matter expert at specific areas and able to go deep into requirement / solution gaps.
• Acting as the contact person related to technical questions as well as supporting consulting projects and workshops with customers.
• Perform unit testing and SIT in the testing phase.
• Assist in the UAT by providing clarifications, understanding the reported issue, simulating the issues and performing defect fixes in a timely manner.

Skills Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Engineering/Computer Science
• 6-8 years of experience in Avaloq development.
• Experience in leading discussions with business and operations.
• Good Knowledge of Financial and Global Market Regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, managers, and subject matter experts. Be able to adapt to the interlocutor.
• Structured, organized and results oriented approach, demonstrating a high level of diligence and attention to detail and the ability to ensure high quality and consistency in the deliverables produced.
• Ability to multitask, be flexible and allocate time according to moving priorities.

Good to Have

• Modules knowledge in Avaloq Core Platform :
• IRT, CRT, Cost & Charges, Book Engine, Rule Engine, Finance.
• Interfaces (e.g. CAPI, AMI)
• Experience working on SWIFT and FIX messages
• Knowledge on general Avaloq modules such as Reporting Desk, Preferences and Security Access.
• Specialist knowledge in front, middle & back office practices on wealth banking industry.
