Job summary

Moove AV is hiring an AV Safety Driver in Singapore to operate vehicles in both manual and autonomous modes, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on public roads. You’ll perform inspections, monitor systems, and intervene as needed while delivering reliable test routes and data quality.

The role requires a valid Class 3/3A license with 5+ years of driving, English fluency, and travel readiness for training.

Qualifications

• Valid Singapore Class 3 or 3A driving license held for at least 5 years with no demerit points in the past 3 years.
• Minimum 3 years of frequent, active driving on Singapore public roads, including expressways, CBD and HDB estates.
• Singapore citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work pass.
• Strong technological proficiency with tablets, in-vehicle interfaces and digital reporting tools.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel internationally for 4–8 weeks for initial AV training and certification.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, driving record review, and Moove's internal assessment.
• Available and committed to a 40-hour work week with fixed shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate autonomous vehicles in manual and autonomous modes with constant situational awareness and readiness to intervene safely.
• Monitor AV system performance via in-vehicle interfaces and report anomalies to engineering and product teams.
• Execute test routes within a geofence, meeting daily/weekly mileage targets and contributing to map/data quality.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of hardware, software and tires and document defects.
• Follow emergency protocols in case of system failure or road incidents.
• Manage vehicle charging/refueling as required during shifts.
