Job summary

JJE AUTO CARE PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Automotive Mechanical Engineer to diagnose and repair commercial and electric vehicle systems. You will perform advanced diagnostics across mechanical, electrical, and electronic subsystems and apply manufacturer procedures for quality repair.

The role includes supporting Euro 6 engines, after-treatment, and transmission subsystems, plus EV motor diagnostics and system programming where required. Experience with Sinotruk is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Higher NITEC, or equivalent in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
• Experience with commercial vehicle mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Euro 6 emission and after-treatment systems.
• Familiar with diesel engine systems and vehicle electrical/electronic systems.
• Experience with Sinotruk or other commercial vehicle manufacturers is advantageous.

Automotive Mechanical Engineer (Commercial & Electric Vehicles)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting and technical analysis of commercial vehicles, including mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
• Diagnose and support repair of Euro 6 engines, emission after-treatment systems and transmission systems, including parameter configuration and system programming where required.
• Diagnose and support Electric vehicle motor, electronic control and electrical systems, including complex system faults.
• Apply manufacturer-specific technical specifications, diagnostic procedures and repair standards for commercial vehicles distributed by the company.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to workshop technicians, ensuring repair quality, safety and compliance with manufacturer requirements.
• Liaise with the manufacturer on complex technical issues, diagnostic support and product-related matters.
• Conduct technical training for technicians, sharing manufacturer-specific diagnostic methods, repair procedures and best practices.
• Analyse recurring technical issues and recommend root-cause solutions and improvements to vehicle repair and workshop processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma, Higher NITEC, NITEC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Automotive Technology, Motor Vehicle Technology or a related discipline.
