RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Diesel Technician in Singapore.

The role covers preventive and breakdown maintenance for heavy commercial vehicles, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and performing repairs to engine, transmission, and braking systems. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Automotive Engineering with 3–5 years of hands-on experience and a strong grasp of diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy commercial vehicles.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems (diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, routine, and annual maintenance on heavy-duty trucks.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and transmission systems.
• Conduct inspections and servicing per manufacturer standards and workshop procedures.
• Perform oil, lubricant, coolant, grease and fluid replacements.
• Carry out brake system inspections, adjustments, and diagnostics.
• Perform transmission and gearbox inspections, adjustments, and repairs.
• Read and interpret vehicle electrical circuit diagrams.
• Use multimeters and diagnostic equipment for electrical testing and fault tracing.
• Conduct basic wheel alignment, tyre inspections, and suspension checks.
• Support breakdown recovery and on-site troubleshooting as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, routine, and annual maintenance on heavy-duty trucks.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and transmission systems.
• Conduct inspections and servicing in accordance with manufacturer standards and workshop procedures.
• Perform oil, lubricant, coolant, grease, and fluid replacement across vehicle systems.
• Carry out brake system inspections, adjustments, and diagnostics.
• Perform transmission and gearbox inspections, adjustments, and repairs.
• Conduct basic wheel alignment, tyre inspections, and suspension check
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical tools to identify fault codes and system issues.
• Read and interpret vehicle electrical circuit diagrams.
• Use multimeters and diagnostic equipment for electrical testing and fault tracing.
• Perform diagnostics on engine, transmission, braking, electrical, and telematics systems.
• Support breakdown recovery and on-site troubleshooting when required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field
• Valid Singapore Class 3, 4, or 5 Driving Licence.
• 3-5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy commercial vehicles.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including: Diesel engines, Transmissions and gearboxes, Brake systems, Electrical systems, Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and fault-finding procedures.
