Job summary

Optimum Solutions (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to strengthen testing across the SDLC. You will design and maintain automated tests, collaborate with vendors, developers, and business stakeholders, and contribute to quality assurance activities.

The role requires 5–8 years in software testing, proficiency with Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or UFT, and strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and collaborate with vendors, developers, business analysts, project managers, and business stakeholders to support testing and quality assurance activities.
• Review business requirements, user stories, and technical designs to identify quality risks and define effective automation testing solutions.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts, reusable automation components, and test frameworks.
• Apply AI-assisted tools and technologies throughout the testing lifecycle, including test design, test case generation, test data preparation, automation development, defect analysis, reporting, and documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-8 years' experience in software testing, test automation, or quality engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, UFT, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, VBScript, or similar technologies.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent technologies to improve testing and automation productivity.
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts, Prompt Engineering, AI-assisted software development, and AI-enabled testing practices.
