Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Singapore is seeking an Automation Software Engineer to develop and support software solutions for automation, data acquisition, process control, and equipment integration in a high-volume semiconductor environment.

You will collaborate with equipment engineering, process engineering, production, quality, and DTIT teams to improve tool uptime, stability, and yield, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across yield, cycle time, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Automation or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in software development, automation, or semiconductor manufacturing support.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C#, C++, Java, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize automation and equipment control software for semiconductor manufacturing systems.
• Support integration of production tools, test equipment, sensors, databases, MES, and factory host systems.
• Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot automation software, interfaces, and manufacturing applications to ensure stable operation.
• Analyze process and equipment data to identify abnormalities and support root-cause analysis.
