Job summary
MMI SYSTEMS PTE LTD is seeking a software engineer to design and develop software for automated equipment in Singapore. You will maintain legacy code, troubleshoot issues on installed systems, and write user manuals describing program functionality.
You will liaise with customers to gather requirements and translate them into clear specifications. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical/Electronic Eng or CS, at least 2 years in automation, and hands-on experience with Visual C#, PLCs
Qualifications
- Degree/diploma in Electrical/Electronic engineering/CS.
- At least 2 years of experience in automation.
- Proficient in PC-based programming (Visual C#).
- Familiar with PLC programming (Omron/Beckhoff).
- Familiar with motion controllers/actuators (IAI/AD Link).
- Familiar with Cognex vision systems.
- Willing to learn and adapt new technology quickly.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willing to travel and work at customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for automated equipment.
- Maintain, review and improve legacy codes.
- Troubleshoot issues with existing installed systems.
- Write user manuals to describe the functionality of the developed programs.
- Liaise with the customer on requirements and create specifications.
