Job summary

Wave Marine Solutions Pte. Ltd. is seeking a skilled engineer to perform calibration and service on vessel automation systems and related equipment. The role covers calibration of gas detectors, pressure and temperature transmitters, and boiler/automation systems.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in electronics/electrical engineering with at least 5 years of experience in vessel main engine automation and related fields. Travel worldwide is required, and teamwork is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma in electronics/electrical engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in vessel main engine automation or related area.
• Hands-on with equipment or systems; strong electrical knowledge.
• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Willing to travel worldwide for support activities.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated and independent.

Responsibilities

• Handle calibration service for portable/fixed gas detectors and other instruments.
• Calibrate pressure, temperature, and related transmitters and systems.
• Perform boiler, valve, and automation system calibrations and overhauls.
• Provide mechanical and electrical calibration for shipboard equipment.
• Carry out maintenance/repair and load testing for cranes and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect and service hatch covers, windlasses, and mooring components.
• Support engine room automation and remote/pneumatic control systems.
• Travel as required to support worldwide customers.

Job Requirements

• Minimum diploma in electronic/electrical engineering or relevant.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in vessel main engine automation systems or related field.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering principles, hands-on experience with equipment or systems, and good knowledge of electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Highly motivated for worldwide support activities (travelling is required)
• Work as a team player, Self-motivated and independent
• Class 3 driving license
