Job summary

MIKRON SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design mechanical systems and automation equipment based on project requirements.

You will prepare drawings, documentation, and assembly packages, while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and suppliers throughout the lifecycle. The role involves creating pneumatic schematics, supporting cam design activities, and participating in design reviews.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automation, machine building, or a similar engineering environment.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar CAD software.
• Good understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing, assembly, and troubleshooting processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Able to work independently and manage project deadlines effectively.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems, machine stations, and automation equipment based on project requirements.
• Prepare engineering drawings, design documentation, and assembly packages.
• Create pneumatic schematics and support mechanical cam design activities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Support assembly, testing, debugging, validation, and installation activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend design improvements.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements, project timelines, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and ERP system updates.
• Comply with all company policies and EHS requirements.
