Job summary

ShopBack is seeking an internship focused on designing automation strategies and data transformation. You will prototype MVPs, analyze workflows, and develop scalable solutions using SQL, Java, Python, and low-code tools. You will own projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and explore Generative AI to improve processes at scale.

You will work with operations teams to implement data-driven improvements, gaining hands-on experience in automation and digital transformation across APAC markets.

Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in designing automation strategies and data transformation.
• Proven experience in rapid prototyping and MVP development.
• Strong background in data transformation and manipulation.
• Flexibility with SQL, Java, and Python, with the ability to navigate and integrate cross-platform processes.
• Ability to integrate APIs into solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and system connectivity.
• Comfortable experimenting with low-code tools and platforms.
• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects.
• Ability to independently research and implement new technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a resourceful approach to challenges.
• Experience working closely with operations or cross-functional teams.
• Must be open to self-learning and continuous skill development.
• Demonstrated use of Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude) to develop new or improve workflows, enhance productivity, and drive efficiency at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design Automation & Data Transformation strategies in collaboration with the operations team.
• Develop MVPs and prototyping solutions leveraging traditional development and low-code tools.
• Prototype rapid solutions and plan for scalable deployment across the organization.
• Experiment with low-code tools to accelerate development and adaptability.
• Take full ownership of projects, working autonomously while aligning with operations.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure strategies align with goals and are integrated.
• Continuously research new technologies and methods to drive process innovation.
