Job summary

Shopee’s Data Analyst team within the Buyer & Marketing Product Line is seeking a final-year student to help scale analytics workflows through AI-powered automation. You will learn to translate business questions into reusable agent skills and automated runbooks, collaborating with product managers and engineers.

This internship provides exposure to SQL, Python, Claude Code, and Text-to-SQL projects across multiple markets, with mentorship and opportunities to contribute to production-grade

Qualifications

• Final-year or penultimate-year student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• Strong SQL skills and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of Python for automation and data processing.
• Interest in AI agents and enterprise automation.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and statistical significance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to understand objectives, metrics, and decision processes.
• Identify recurring analytical tasks and workflows to standardise or automate via AI-powered solutions.
• Translate business knowledge into reusable agent skills, runbooks, and automated workflows.
• Support metric monitoring and anomaly detection workflows and connect risk signals with agent validation logic.
• Build and improve LLM-powered analytics workflows for Text-to-SQL, A/B testing analysis, and multi-region analytics.
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders to understand market-specific logic and reporting requirements.
• Use SQL, Python, Claude Code to build internal productivity tools, skill generators, and validation utilities.
• Design test cases and validation frameworks to evaluate agent accuracy and failure-handling.
• Analyse workflow execution logs and traces to improve observability, maintainability, and reliability.
• Document best practices, workflows, and user guides to support adoption across teams and regions.
