Job summary

Inter Island Manpower Pte Ltd is seeking an Automation and Control Engineer / PLC Programmer to design and implement PLC/HMI solutions. The role involves SDLC-driven software development, electrical panel design, BOM management, and hands-on testing.

The candidate should have a diploma or degree in Automation Engineering with at least 2 years in automation/semiconductor, strong PLC/HMI skills (Omron/Mitsubishi, Proface, Hakko), and be willing to travel and work after hours when required.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Automation Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in automation/semiconductor industry.
Strong programming skills in PLC and HMI according to IEC 61131-3 standard languages.

Responsibilities

Follow SDLC to develop high quality and maintainable software.
Prepare functional flowcharts and design specifications.
Interpret client requirements and ensure solutions meet project budgets and schedules.
Design electrical control panels and prepare schematics drawings.
Source electrical components and issue BOM.
Software programming (PLC and HMI), system implementation, testing, debugging.
Maintain detailed documentation.
Coordinate with departments to meet customer requirements and schedules.
Analyze existing software for improvements.
Support remote and on-site troubleshooting at customer sites.
