Job summary

Pathlight School in Singapore seeks an Autism Therapist to support students on the autism spectrum with related conditions, ages 7 to 18, through life skills and behavioural supports. You will work within Autism Intervention, Training & Consultancy (AITC) alongside a multi-disciplinary team.

As an Autism Therapist you will develop and deliver individualised behavioural plans, plan Life Skills programmes, manage an emergency support line, and train stakeholders on ASD topics.

Qualifications

• Min. Degree in Psychology or related fields.
• Passion to help special needs students maximise talents.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver individualised behavioural plans in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Plan and deliver programmes for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the area of Life Skills
• Manage and respond to an emergency support line for school staff requiring immediate support for behavioural support
• Plan and train stakeholders on ASD related topics
• Participate in team assessments for school admissions

Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singaporeto offer thenational curriculum together with life skills. It caters to students on the autism spectrum with related conditions, aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access national curriculum but require additional support such as smaller class sizes, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in autism.

The team at Autism Intervention, Training & Consultancy (AITC) provides training and consultancy services for professionals and caregivers, as well as direct intervention services for individuals on the autism spectrum.

As an Autism Therapist, your Impact and Contribution includes:
