Job summary

St.Andrew's Autism Centre seeks dedicated Direct Care staff to support clients with essential daily living tasks, including grooming and toileting, while prioritising health and safety at all times.

You will assist Coaches with classroom management and community mobility programmes, collaborate with colleagues and families, and participate in home visits to ensure a holistic approach to each client's development.

Qualifications

• NITEC Certification or N-Level required.
• Compassionate and patient personality essential for working with individuals with autism.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work reliably as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care: assisting clients with daily tasks including grooming and toileting; prioritising health and safety.
• Classroom Management: supporting Coaches to maintain order and set up work stations during class.
• Community Integration & Activities: aiding community mobility programmes and activities.
• Collaborative Partnerships: working with colleagues across disciplines and engaging with parents/caregivers, including home visits.
• Ad Hoc Duties: participating in team duties and other tasks assigned by supervisor.
