Job summary

Wesley Methodist Church is seeking an AV Manager to lead the Audio Visual Department across worship services, events, and ministry activities. You will supervise staff and volunteers, coordinate with vendors, and ensure reliable AV systems and livestreaming capabilities.

Join a hands-on team focused on technical excellence, project planning, budgeting, and ongoing upgrades to support worship and outreach. Experience in live events and church AV is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading AV teams in worship or live events.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot live event AV under pressure.
• Experience with AV systems including digital mixers, video, and livestreaming.

Responsibilities

• AV Operations: provide AV support for worship services, conferences, camps and events, coordinating staff and volunteers.
• Project Management: plan, budget, execute, install and upgrade AV projects and renovations.
• Staff and Volunteer Management: supervise staff and train volunteers in AV operations.
• Maintenance: perform proactive maintenance to minimise disruption across the church AV systems.
• Future Planning: propose improvements and new systems to benefit ministry needs.
• Administration: oversee budget and procurement and develop standard operating procedures.
