Overview

To lead and manage the Accounting & Compliance, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accurate financial operations, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting organisational goals through efficient financial processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage accounting operations including general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, audit preparation, and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory and organizational requirements.
  • Ensure tax compliance and enforce procurement policy adherence.
  • Supervise accounts payable functions including vendor invoice processing, aging analysis, and vendor management.
  • Manage accounts receivable, donation tracking, and fund contribution reporting.
  • Oversee AR billings and collections to ensure timely inflows.
  • Coordinate internal control assessments and drive process improvements.
  • Support internal audit preparation, budgeting and management reporting.
  • Collaborate with financial planning and internal controls team.
  • Lead and mentor team members across accounting and transactional finance functions.
  • Provide support for cross-departmental projects and ad-hoc initiatives as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, compliance, or financial operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, audit processes, and tax compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and team management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • While prior experience in the non-profit or social service sector is advantageous, we also welcome applications from candidates with strong finance and compliance backgrounds from other industries who are eager to contribute to a mission-driven organisation.
