Job summary

You will prepare cost plans, tender docs, and final accounts, analyze bids, manage budgets, and collaborate with project teams to ensure financial integrity and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building or Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant construction experience.
• Well-versed in contracts such as PSSCOC, SIA, FIDIC and other international forms.
• Strong writing and negotiation skills.
• Singaporean only due to job nature.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, tender docs, contract administration, subcontracting, negotiation and final accounts.
• Perform tender analysis and develop bidding strategies.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, estimations and pricing, including budgets and cost reports.
• Coordinate with Project Manager for monthly updated project costing.
• Comply with QA standards and internal procedures.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to build strong relationships.
• Attend client meetings, tender interviews, and present/train as required.

Purpose and Scope

The Assistant Manager – Quantity Surveyor (Contracts) oversees the contractual and cost management aspects of construction projects within the built environment. This role supports strategic procurement, contract administration, and cost control to ensure project efficiency and financial integrity. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, the Assistant Manager provides guidance on contractual matters, manages risk, and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Deliver quantity surveying services including preparing cost plans, tender documentation, contract administration, subcontracting, negotiation and final accounts
• Responsible for tender analysis and formulating bidding strategies
• Prepare quantity taking off, estimation and pricing, including project budgeting and cost reports
• Work closely with Project Manager in preparing monthly updated project costing
• Comply with internal procedures and QA standards
• Collaborate and develop good relationship with clients and stakeholder internally and externally
• Attend client meetings, tender interview, conduct presentation and training when required

Requirements:

• Degree in Building / Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
• Well versed in various form of contracts such as PSSCOC, SIA and FIDIC as well as other international form of contracts.
• Strong in writing and negotiation skills
