Job summary

Sembcorp Specialised Construction is seeking a Contracts Engineer to manage financial and contractual provisions for building projects from pre-tender to post contract. You will work with the Project Manager to prepare monthly project costing and develop subcontract conditions tailored to each project.

The role requires a degree in Building/ Construction Management/ Quantity Surveying with at least 1 year of construction experience, strong negotiation, and solid knowledge of contract law and

Qualifications

• Degree in Building/ Construction Management/ Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in construction industry.
• Strong in negotiation skills.
• Good understanding & knowledge of contracts law and its application.
• Familiarity with various contract forms such as PSSCOC, SIA and FIDIC and other international forms.
• Familiarity with CostX and/or Glodon Cubicost measurement software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Singaporean only may apply.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Manager in preparing monthly updated project costing.
• Develop suitable subcontract conditions for specific project requirements.
• Prepare project budgeting and costing reports.
• Responsible for cost estimating, quantity take off, claims preparation, variations and final accounts.
• Review contracts, prepare tender & contract documentations, tender analysis & reporting, measurement etc.
• Review sub-contractors claims and materials on site.
• Standardize all agreements (e.g. subcontracts and joint ventures) with alignment to contract policy.
