Job summary

CGS International Securities Hong Kong Limited is seeking an Associate/Snr Associate in Operations (Custodian/Security) to manage end-to-end financial market operations, ensuring accurate trade processing, reconciliations, and corporate actions. The role requires collaboration across teams to drive operational excellence and ongoing improvements.

The incumbent will handle securities lending/borrowing, ETF creation/redemption, ADR/ SDR issuance, and cross-border transfers, while supporting

Qualifications

• Min Diploma holder.
• 2+ years of relevant custody/securities operations experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of basic programming to automate tasks is advantageous.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• High adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to liaise with internal teams.
• Willing to learn new skills and be proactive.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing, settlements, and custody operations.
• Lead system enhancements and regulatory initiatives across teams.
• Assist with ETF creation/redemption and cross-border transfers.
• Oversee securities lending/borrowing and other asset types as needed.
• Provide back-office support to maintain trade and custody records.
• Collaborate with ops teams to minimize reconciliation breaks.
• Handle ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned.

Job Summary

• Manage and execute end-to-end financial market operations, ensuring accurate trade processing, reconciliations, and corporate actions. Lead system enhancements and regulatory initiatives while collaborating across teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage, resolve, investigate daily processing, settlement and custody process relating to:
  Securities borrowing and lending
• Manage the ETF creation/ redemption request as Participating Dealer to support our Market Marker(client) trading activities
• ADR / SDR issuance / cancellation: conversion process
• Cross border transfers
• Unit trust transfers.
• Commercial papers
• Equities / Bond (if needed)
• Dedicated back office support to upkeep trade and custody records of Full goal - ETFs managed by the Asset Management against the nominated custodian
• Work collaboratively with other ops teams to identify the best practices for timely update of position to avoid reconciliation break
• Other ad-hoc duties/ projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Min Diploma holder
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Custody / securities operations is preferred
• · Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
• · Knowledge and proficiency in basic program coding to automate work would be advantageous.
• · Possess critical thinking, strong problem solving skills.
• · High adaptability and able to handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
• · Good interpersonal, communication skills (this position requires liaising and communication with various internal teams).
• Wiling to learn new skills and having a proactive attitude.
