Job summary

DBS Wealth Management Technology is seeking a meticulous Software Developer for the EdgeTech Team. You will design, build, and maintain applications using React, Spring Boot, and Python, applying spec-driven development and AI-assisted tools to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role emphasizes independent analysis, clean code, and strong collaboration through JIRA and Confluence, with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to continuously improve development processes.

Qualifications

• Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with modern technology stacks including Spring Boot, React, and Python.
• Proficiency with Git/Bitbucket version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB).
• AI models and their appropriate use cases.
• Knowledge of Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini variants, and their strengths/limitations.
• Experience applying AI assistance in a disciplined, spec-driven development approach.
• DevOps practices with Jenkins, Docker, and OpenShift; CI/CD pipelines.
• JIRA for task management and Confluence for documentation.

Programming & Development

• Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or similar languages

Database & Data Management

AI‑Assisted Development

• Deep understanding of AI models and their appropriate use cases - not just “vibe coding”
• Demonstrated ability to select and use the right AI tools (Claude Code, Gemini-cli, etc.) based on specific task requirements
• Knowledge of various AI models (Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini variants, etc.) and their strengths/limitations
• Ability to contribute to model evaluation and optimization for AI tools within the organization
• Experience applying AI assistance in a disciplined, spec‑driven development approach

DevOps & Deployment

• Good understanding of DevOps practices and tools
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Docker, and OpenShift deployments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Tools & Collaboration

• Proficiency with JIRA for task management and tracking
• Experience with Confluence for documentation and knowledge management
• Ability to work efficiently within DBS’s technology ecosystem

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills for frontend development
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts and practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• 2-5 years of relevant software development experience
