Hamilton Lane, a global leader in private markets, seeks an Associate, Secondaries to evaluate secondary investments and direct equity opportunities with a global lens, focusing on Asia.

You will model transactions, prepare memoranda for the Investment Committee, and support origination while collaborating with GPs, LPs, and internal teams in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in private equity, investment banking, corporate M&A, capital markets or valuation services.
• Prior secondary or direct equity experience is a plus.
• Interest in responsibly applying approved AI tools to support research and workflow.
• Strong financial analysis, modelling and company valuations.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Willingness to work flexible hours in a fast-paced, global team.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Lead modelling and analysis of private equity secondary transactions and direct equity transactions.
• Prepare investment memoranda for the Firm’s Investment Committee.
• Analyse private equity funds and companies using LBO models and develop scenarios.
• Perform due diligence calls and participate in meetings with general partners.
• Monitor investments and assist in client marketing materials.
• Support senior team members in originating new opportunities and networking with GPs/LPs.

Secondary professionals develop skills relevant to both fund and direct private equity investing, while participating in one of the fastest-growing segments of the private markets industry.
