Job summary

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in Composition, Artistic Research, or related field
• Minimum of ten years of successful teaching in conservatory and/or university environments
• An internationally recognised profile as a composer-scholar or creative practitioner
• Leadership in integrating composition, creative practice, artistic research, music theory, and curriculum design
• Experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, and program review

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, artistic, and strategic leadership in development of Composition and Creative Practice
• Advance internationally recognised programmes through composition, performances, and collaborations
• Design and teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in composition, theory, interdisciplinary practice
• Develop pedagogical approaches connecting theory with practice and interdisciplinary learning
• Provide strategic leadership in curriculum development and integration of practices in conservatory education
• Supervise and mentor students across programmes, fostering development and professional growth
• Develop regional and international artistic partnerships to strengthen Southeast Asia's music community
• Lead initiatives in contemporary music, artistic research, and public engagement
• Maintain an active programme of creative practice informing teaching and leadership
