Job summary

Aurora Energy Research PTE. LTD. is seeking a product manager for its Wider Asia software business, based in Singapore.

You will define the Wider Asia product strategy and drive execution, engaging with external and internal software customers and coordinating with technical teams to deliver solutions. You will own the regional roadmap, maintain a structured backlog, define UI and modelling requirements, and lead a cross-functional team of engineers, modellers, analysts and sales professionals

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience at consultancy/energy/software/finance firm
• Strong understanding of energy markets (sector knowledge)
• Proven track record in managing large, cross-functional projects or products
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with quantitative analysis
• Results-driven with persistence and hands-on approach

About the position

Aurora’s Software Solutions team is building the global investment analytics platform for the energy transition. It is a seamlessly integrated suite of software products allowing our users to value and benchmark any asset or portfolio, under any business model and market scenario, anywhere in the world. Widely adopted by leading energy companies and investors, the platform changes the way that energy market analytics is performed and delivered. We are currently looking for an entrepreneurial and quantitatively minded product manager for our software business in Wider Asia. Please note that this role is based in our Singapore office. Together with software leadership in Sydney, Melbourne and Oxford, you will own our Wider Asia software product strategy and drive its execution. You will understand the needs of our external and internal software customers and closely engage with our technical teams to design and deliver solutions.

Key responsibilities

• You will play a key role in defining the vision and strategy for our software platform in the Wider Asia markets (Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia) and contribute to our APAC strategy.
• You will build and maintain the regional roadmap for all Wider Asia software products making key decisions on feature prioritisation in line with product vision and strategy.
• You will own and manage a structured backlog of user needs and feature ideas.
• You will define requirements for UI and modelling features of our Wider Asia software, and work with Aurora’s technical teams to design solutions meeting these requirements.
• You will play a leading role in a cross-functional team of highly skilled software engineers, product managers, modellers, research and advisory analysts, commercial (sales) and client solutions representatives in continuous product delivery.
• You will develop and manage client relationships, develop in-depth understanding of client requirements, and manage user feedback.
• You will build relationships with software stakeholders across our offices in APAC and Oxford, fostering positive working culture and providing mentorship and development opportunities for the team.

What we are looking for

Required attributes

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience at a consultancy, energy company, software company, financial services company, or other knowledge-focused firm or institution
• Good understanding of energy markets – you don’t need to have experience in energy, but you should demonstrate your knowledge of the sector
• Proven track record of successfully managing large complex projects or products that require significant cross-functional coordination
• Excellent communication and analytical skills (including quantitative analysis), and attention to detail
• Results-driven, with a high degree of persistence in reaching goals and a hands-on approach to ensuring targets are achieved.

Desirable attributes

• Good understanding of power market models, and the life cycle and commercial arrangements of energy projects
• Track record of building stakeholder relationships across functions and countries
• A self-guided approach to investigating and solving technical problems
