Job summary

RSM ZA is seeking an Associate in Private Trustees within our Bankruptcy Service to support the administration of bankruptcy estates and related processes in Singapore.

You will prepare notices and reports, gather information from debtors and third parties, and help manage asset realisations while maintaining meticulous case records. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of bankruptcy estates and related processes.
• Prepare letters, notices, emails and reports as required.
• Take control of bankrupts' assets and oversee realisation activities.
• Gather information from bankrupts and third parties for case files.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of information and records.
• Review and present financial information to supervisors and stakeholders.
• Attend meetings and take minutes; communicate issues clearly and timely.
• Review case issues and prepare file-notes to support departmental goals.

Job Description

• Assist in the administration of bankruptcy estates. Responsibilities include (list not exhaustive):
• Understand the legal aspects, processes and timelines of bankruptcy administrations
• Assist in the preparation of letters, notices, emails and reports
• Take control of the bankrupt's assets followed by realisation
• Gather information from bankrupts and other third parties
• Maintain a database of information and records
• Review and present financial information
• Conduct site visits
• Adjudicate creditors' claims
• Investigate past transactions
• Assist with the reviewing of case/issues and preparation of file-notes
• Attend meetings and take down minutes
• Clarify issues/problems to be addressed and communicated clearly and timely to supervisors
• Perform any other duties as assigned to support departmental and organization objectives
  

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Accountancy, Law, Business or other relevant qualifications
• Fresh graduates and those with less than 2 years of experience in corporate insolvency and/or external audit
• Strong analytical and report writing skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
• A strong team player
