Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Associate, MS&T (Process Control) to lead process control improvements and parameter monitoring across manufacturing sites. You will analyze data, trend performance, and support technology transfer and qualification activities.

Responsibilities

• Technical supporting implementation of new innovative technologies for manufacturing including the development of a systematic approach for developing requirements for new equipment.
• Maintain oversight of the process performance (end-to-end) based on parameter monitoring to the production, door to door at the Site, to ensure execution of processes on-time, continuously improving in quality and efficiency (including resolving process technical issues), SOPs and applicable guidelines and norms.
• Ongoing intra and inter batch monitoring and other process related metrics.
• Data collection, tracking, analysis and reporting for process metrics and continuous monitoring.
• Leading yield improvement projects: lead and manage projects, coordinate with stakeholders, manage Change Request, draft and execute protocols.
• Track CM parameters and monitor CPP, IPC, Product Quality Attributes, Characteristics of raw materials using statistical analysis and data trending.
• Utilize data trending to deepen process understanding, detect issues, identify trends, and issue quarterly/annual data reports.
• Support major investigations for customers' complaints and NCR cases.
• Coordinate and support site qualification activities.
• Coordinate and support technology transfer projects.
• Write qualification protocols and ensure adherence to requirements during protocol execution.

As Associate, MS&T (Process Control), you will provide support and lead in process control, process and product improvements based on parameters monitoring, lead yield improvement projects, and support major investigations for customers' complaints and NCR cases.

In this role, a typical day will include:

   • Coordinate with stakeholders for project details.
   • Manage Change Request, draft and execute protocols.
6. Track CM parameters and monitor all critical / key variables as appropriate for the assigned product(s), such as Critical Process Parameters (CPP), In Process Control (IPC) parameters, Product Quality Attributes, Characteristics of raw materials. etc) using statistical analysis and conducting regular product specific data trending.
7. Utilize data trending and statistical analysis to:
   • Deepen and broaden process understanding and knowledge.
   • Detect issues in process capability, such as systematic quality defects.
   • Identify trends of process deviations (e.g. deviation with common root cause).
   • Issue quarterly/annual data trending report.
   • Ensure data and trending is visible and communicated at shopfloor level.
8. Support major investigations for customers' complaints and NCR cases.
9. Coordinate and support site qualification activities.
10. Coordinate and support technology transfer projects.
11. Write qualification protocols and ensure adherence to requirements during protocol execution.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Degree in scientific or Engineering field
• Preferably in Manufacturing setting with experience/ knowledge in statistics/ data analysis / monitoring with knowledge in using Minitab; GMP industry experience would be highly advantageous but not a must.
• Training will be provided.
