Overview

Matchaya is a classy Japanese-themed café serving one of the best and most authentic matcha tea in Singapore. The store is located at CapitaSpring in the CBD, between Raffles MRT and Telok Ayer MRT stations.

About the role

As our Service Crew, your role includes taking customer orders, preparing and serving drinks and/or food to customers. Working with the rest of the team, you are expected to be friendly, flexible and versatile on the job. You will be working with our Store Manager and your duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Take customer orders with patience, friendliness and accuracy.
• Cashiering duties dealing with NETS, PayNow or cash.
• Ensure counter area is mise-en-place and all equipment & bar utensils are washed and cleaned.
• Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction.
• Serving of food and drinks when required.
• Assist in food and drinks preparation.
• Assist in opening and closing duties.
• Keep the environment clean and well maintained.
• Participate in all training programs relevant to the company’s businesses.
• Communicate well and work harmoniously with all team members.
• Be open to feedback and continuously seek improvements.

About YOU

• Has an outgoing personality, flexible, patient and friendly character.
• Familiar with cashiering duties.
• Has experience in tea and coffee drinks preparation.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Has a valid food and safety certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a restaurant/café environment.
• Bonus: barista experience.
