Job description

Conyers is a leading international law firm with a broad client base including FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies, international finance houses and asset managers. The firm advises on Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, and Cayman Islands laws, from offices in those jurisdictions and in the key financial centres of Hong Kong, London and Singapore.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a caseload of litigation matters, including research, analysis, and strategy development
  • Prepare and file court documents, such as pleadings, claim forms, memoranda of advice, and skeleton submissions
  • Conduct client interviews, witness interviews, and negotiations
  • Represent clients in meetings, and other dispute resolution proceedings
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest legal developments and trends in the offshore financial services industry
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive legal support to clients
  • Prepare and deliver regular legal updates to clients
  • Attend and participate in business development events, such as conferences and networking sessions, to expand the firm's client base and industry presence

What You Will Need

  • 6-8 years of post-qualification experience with either an offshore law firm or major local or international law firm in Singapore
  • Qualified to practise law in Singapore, England or Australia
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong drafting abilities, capable of producing high-quality legal documents and correspondence
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and the determination to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team player, able to work effectively with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions
