Job summary

SIM Global Education invites associates to join the teaching team for MUF0141 and MUF0142 in Singapore. You will deliver content, lead discussions, and support students across modules focused on fundamental mathematics and data analysis.

Responsibilities include 5-hour weekly lectures, in-class presentations, and timely assessment marking, coordinating with the unite leader at the partner university to ensure desired student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent with specialization in the discipline being taught.
• At least 2 years of classroom teaching experience or a formal qualification in Education.
• Experience teaching non-English speaking students is a plus.
• Familiar with online teaching tools will be an advantage.

Job description

SIM Global Education is looking for associates who are dedicated, highly-motivated and possess a strong passion for teaching and shaping the minds of the young generation. Candidates are required to deliver the course content in a 5-hour lecture format on a weekly basis, facilitate group discussions and in-class presentations, as well as manage assessment marking within a given deadline. They will work closely with the unite leader based in the partner university to achieve the desired students’ outcome.

Commitment

• 5 hours x 14 weeks

Module: MUF0141 Fundamental Mathematics Unit 1: Applications of Mathematics

This course will give students the opportunity to develop mathematics skills which can be applied in their everyday lives, with a focus on understanding the world through patterns and relationships, and development of financial skills.

Module: MUF0142 Fundamental Mathematics Unit 2: Data Analysis

This course will give students the opportunity to develop mathematics skills which will be relevant for future study, and careers across a variety of sectors. There will be a focus on understanding the world through data and using analysis to make data meaningful. Building on the skills learnt in Unit 1, it will be extended into the study of probability and statistics.

Classes are mostly conducted during the day 8.30am to 1.30pm or 1.30pm to 6.30pm.
