Responsibilities

• Deliver and lead module content that integrates theoretical and practical cybersecurity concepts.
• Guide students in applying engineering and computational principles to identify and classify cyber threats based on severity and impact.
• Analyze network security challenges using mathematical and engineering principles to select and apply appropriate security measures.
• Convey mathematical and computational techniques to implement basic cryptographic algorithms ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Design blockchain solutions to enhance cybersecurity, considering secure transactions and ethical and inclusivity principles for users and business needs.
• Evaluate environmental, societal, and ethical impacts of current cybersecurity practices and propose improvements aligned with ethical, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles.
• Design cybersecurity solutions for real-world problems, test effectiveness, ensure alignment with EDI principles, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Overview

The lecturer will bridge the gap between theoretical computer science and applied digital security. The lecturer will lead a module designed to equip students with rigorous technical skills (cryptography, network security, blockchain) and the critical, real-world evaluation skills needed to solve modern security challenges.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and lead module content that integrates theoretical and practical cybersecurity concepts.
• Guide students in applying engineering and computational principles to identify and classify cyber threats based on severity and impact.
