Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is seeking an academically oriented cybersecurity lecturer to teach at least three subjects listed under Cybersecurity, such as Secure Coding, Applied Cryptography, OT Security, Malware Reverse Engineering, Ethical Hacking and Defences, IoT and Cloud Security.

The appointee will develop curricula, contribute to consultancy and applied research projects, and guide youth and adult learners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in web/app programming, application security/pen testing, risk & vulnerability assessment, threat management and defence, security operations and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lessons, create teaching and assessment materials, and facilitate learning of students (youths and adult learners).
• Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum, including regular review and improvements to enhance learning and employability.
• Keep current on cybersecurity trends and developments.
• Support the school’s strategic initiatives through committee work and project involvement such as process improvement and new course development.

What you will be working on

The appointee must be competent to teach in at least three of the following subjects:

Responsibilities:-

• Conduct lessons, create teaching and assessment materials, and facilitate learning of students (youths and adult learners)
• Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum. This includes regular review of existing curriculum and make recommendations on areas of improvements that would enhance students’ learning, performance and employability.
• Keep current and abreast of trends and developments of Cybersecurity
• Support the School’ strategic initiatives through involvement in committee work and projects such as process improvement projects, development and management of new courses

What we are looking for

Requirements:-

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in either web and application programming, application security/penetration testing, risk & vulnerability assessment, threat management and defence, security operations and incident response with practical hands‑on experience or computer/mobile forensics and investigation.
• Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring both youths and adult learners.
• Self‑driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team.
• Good knowledge of both Linux and Windows based environments.
• Familiar with the various IT security standards and frameworks, IT best practices, IT security compliance and audit standards.

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
