Royal Bank of Canada (Asia) Limited in Singapore is seeking an Associate for FX Execution and Securities Finance to support pricing, execution, and client relationships across foreign exchange and securities lending.

You will manage pricing, monitor markets, and provide accurate market pricing to clients while maintaining control of collateral and trade settlements. The role requires strong numerical ability, teamwork under pressure, and relevant FX and securities experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage pricing, positioning, and execution of all FX requests from RBC Investor Services clients.
• Oversee G10 and onshore restricted markets FX business with focus on Asia.
• Maximize revenue through dynamic and efficient market execution.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Clients and external counterparties.
• Provide consistent, accurate market pricing to Clients.
• Keep Senior Management updated on key FX market trends and developments.
• Maximize net revenue and minimize costs for Securities Lending clients; recalls, borrower interactions, settlements.
• Develop new revenue opportunities and optimize use of client assets within lending parameters.
• Manage borrower and lender relationships globally.
• Resolve trade discrepancies, manage collateral per client parameters.
• Investigate and resolve contract breaks.
• Ensure all daily reporting is completed by close of business.

What is the opportunity?

As the Associate, FX Execution & Securities Finance, you will be responsible for supporting both the FX Execution and Securities Finance businesses in Singapore, managing pricing, execution, and client relationships across foreign exchange and securities lending products.

What will you do?

• Manage pricing, positioning, and execution of all foreign exchange requests from RBC Investor Services clients.

• Oversee G10 and onshore restricted markets FX business with focus on Asia.

• Maximize revenue through dynamic and efficient market execution.

• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Clients and external counterparties.

• Provide consistent, accurate market pricing to Clients.

• Keep Senior Management updated on key FX market trends and developments.

• Maximize net revenue and minimize costs for clients in the Securities Lending program; execute daily recalls, borrower interactions, monitoring buy-ins, liaising with back office on settlements.

• Develop new revenue opportunities and optimize use of client assets within lending parameters.

• Manage borrower and lender relationships globally.

• Resolve trade discrepancies, manage collateral in line with client parameters.

• Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies and contract compare breaks.

• Ensure all daily reporting is completed by close of business.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Degree or equivalent is required

• Relevant professional/regulatory qualifications (e.g., FMRP, CMFAS 1B, CFA or equivalent)

• Securities Finance and FX background

• Experience in FX trading/flow management

• Highly numerate and accurate

• Ability to handle day-to-day resolution of complex problems

• Deep understanding of market services products

• Good knowledge of Asian emerging markets

• Understanding of the full FX product suite

• Ability to work in a team and under pressure

Nice-to-have

• Strong systems abilities (Excel, Access, Bloomberg)

• Financial industry experience in equity, fixed income trading, or collateral management

• Professional written and verbal communication skills
