StraitsX is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to work closely with the Legal, Compliance, and Commercial teams in Singapore and beyond. The role combines regulatory work (60%) with commercial contracting (40%), offering broad exposure to MAS, PSA/PSN01/PSN02, PDPA and related frameworks.

You will shape positions for MAS, advise on licensing and variation work, and draft/negotiate commercial agreements while balancing business goals with regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 0–2 years of experience in corporate, financial services, or regulatory law.
• Genuine interest in fintech, payments or digital assets is a plus.
• Strong research and written analysis skills; able to turn regulatory questions into actionable answers.

Responsabilités

• Advise product and business teams on regulatory obligations triggered by new products and features.
• Support licensing projects and MAS interactions, including stablecoins like XSGD/XUSD.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements in line with regulatory requirements.
• Provide pragmatic risk assessments and practical mitigations for regulatory exposure.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Product, Compliance, Finance and Operations teams.
• Maintain documentation, processes, and governance for corporate records and filings.
