Associate Engineer Manufacturing Operations

Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore is seeking a capable leader to head and develop a Waferfab Operations team. You will drive daily production targets, optimise WIP and allocate manpower to maximise throughput, while instituting training to boost shift flexibility and a culture of safety and data integrity.

Ideal candidates will lead performance reviews, collaborate with Engineering, and implement corrective actions to prevent issues on the line, ensuring quality and efficiency at all times.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and train a team of Waferfab Operators and Technician in the day-to-day operations to meet daily production targets.
• Optimize WIP management to maximize throughput and linearity.
• Allocate and deploy manpower effectively for optimum productivity.
• Plan out manpower training to increase shift deployment flexibility.
• Engage specialists at regularly to feedback on performance as well as understand difficulties faced & identify potential areas for improvement.
• Identify potential human error issues in the fab and work on corrective/preventive actions.
• Present daily production indices in module meetings and highlight key priorities for the Engineering team to focus.
• Resolve and handle line-related, preventive maintenance issues and understand all equipment capacity/constraint issues so as to be able to identify, implement temporary solutions and work with Engineering team to resolve them.
• Ensure safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance in work area by all personnel.
• Ensure proper documentation and data-integrity.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
