Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Electronic/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Mechatronics) or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in Automated Material Handling System (AMHS).
• Prior experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated and proactive; eager to learn and open to acquiring new skills.
• Strong team player with good collaboration skills.
• Possesses strong analytical thinking abilities.
• Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out equipment periodic maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance procedure and safety requirement.
• Assist Engineer on machine improvement and parts testing.
• Maintaining/updating SOP, work procedure and training material or report writing.
• Carry out firsthand repair and troubleshoot on machine breakdown to maximize equipment uptime.
• Assist in spare parts inventory.
• Actively involve in TPM, perform routine equipment patrol check or inspection on automation system.
• Assist in any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor as and when necessary.
• Carry out repairs or overhaul of parts for automation.
• Assist in identifying equipment failures, root cause analysis and recommending solution to technical issues.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

The AMHS (Automated Material Handling System) Associate Engineer is responsible for performing periodic maintenance activities, recovery and troubleshooting of daily machines issues.
