Job Purpose

The Private Credit Investment Manager will be responsible for supporting private credit investments and portfolio management in accordance with the fund mandate and strategy, under the oversight of Directors and the Managing Director. The role covers deal due diligence, execution, portfolio monitoring, deal sourcing, and mentoring younger analysts, with a focus on North Asia, Greater China, Singapore, and Southeast Asia markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Private Credit Investments & Portfolio Management

• Support private credit investments and portfolio management in line with fund strategy and mandate.
• Manage existing portfolio companies through regular engagement, performance evaluation, and financial review.

2. Deal Due Diligence & Execution

• Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling of potential investment opportunities, including financial ratio analysis and building financial projections.
• Perform fundamental research, due diligence, and analysis of industries and companies, either individually or in collaboration with deal advisors.
• Evaluate and assess the creditworthiness of borrowers and identify potential risks associated with each investment.
• Support senior team members in live deal transactions from origination through to execution, including deal structuring and coordination with external advisors.
• Prepare investment papers, business cases, internal portfolio reports, and proposals for team review and investment committee decisions.

3. Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting

• Track and monitor the live deal pipeline, staying up to date with market trends and industry developments to make informed investment decisions.
• Conduct portfolio monitoring through regular management calls.
• Monitor relevant industry trends and competitive dynamics to assess their impact on portfolio companies.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal team briefings, investment committee meetings, Board, and investor communications.

4. Deal Sourcing & Market Coverage

• Assist in developing investment ideas and support deal sourcing, with a focus on North Asia, Greater China, Singapore, and SEA markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with market participants, advisors, and potential investees.
• Collaborate with other team members to identify new investment strategies and opportunities in the private credit market.

5. Team Collaboration & Mentorship

• Work collaboratively with senior team members and cross‑functional teams to ensure effective deal execution and portfolio management.
• Mentor and guide younger analysts and associates in industry research, financial modeling, and the preparation of reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution; CFA or other relevant certifications preferred.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in private credit, investment banking, or corporate finance, with exposure to North Asia, Greater China, Singapore, and/or SEA markets.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
• Demonstrated experience in deal due diligence, execution, and portfolio monitoring.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• High level of initiative, intellectual curiosity, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in English; additional Asian language skills are advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
