Responsibilities

• Lead the trading and risk management of an allocated trading book within Global Markets Trading.
• Identify and develop commercial and client-focused strategic opportunities and business plans for the trading book.
• Drive effective delivery of performance outcomes for the trading book, including revenue, risk, NPAT, and capital considerations.
• Support continuous improvement of people, processes, and organizational structures to build a high-performing franchise.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients, Global Markets colleagues, and IB&M teams.
• Maintain a strong understanding of IB&M products and solutions relevant to the trading book.
• Develop deep market knowledge to respond proactively to evolving client needs and market conditions.

Job Description:

• Leadership: Lead the trading and risk management of an allocated trading book within the Global Markets Trading team, delivering client-centric risk management solutions and contributing to the overall Trading team strategy.
• Strategy: Identify and develop commercial and client-focused strategic opportunities and business plans for the dedicated trading book, supporting the achievement of IB&M and client objectives while contributing to the broader Global Markets Trading strategy.
• Implementation & Management: Drive the effective delivery of performance outcomes for the trading book, including revenue, risk, NPAT, and profit after capital charge, in line with business plans, CBA values, and the risk management framework.
• Organisation Development: Support the continuous improvement of people, processes, and organisational structures to build a sustainable, high-performing, and adaptable franchise.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clients, Global Markets colleagues, and IB&M functional teams, to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Product & Solutions: Maintain a strong understanding of IB&M products and solutions, particularly those relevant to the dedicated trading book, and contribute to their ongoing enhancement and development.
• Client, Industry & Market Expertise: Develop deep market knowledge and understanding of the factors influencing the dedicated trading book, enabling proactive responses to evolving client needs and market conditions.
