Job summary

Aon is seeking a Coverage Specialist to join the Asia-based Commercial Risk Solutions Technical Excellence team. You will guide policy wordings and coverage issues across direct and reinsurance, supporting brokers and client teams with a focus on property and casualty risks.

The role offers exposure to multiple markets in Asia, with Singapore or Hong Kong as potential bases, and opportunities for professional development and career progression within Aon’s CRS Technical Excellence team.

Qualifications

• Law degree or relevant insurance qualification.
• 2–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house legal roles.
• Strong technical insurance knowledge across property and casualty product lines.
• Understanding of Asia, London/Lloyd’s and international insurance markets.
• Excellent written English, with contract drafting skills.

As demand grows for specialist support on policy wordings and coverage matters, we are looking for a Coverage Specialist to join our regional CRS Technical Excellence team in Asia. In this role, you will provide guidance on policy wordings and re/insurance coverage issues, supporting brokers and client teams across direct insurance and reinsurance. The role offers exposure across several business lines, with a particular focus on property and casualty risks.

What the role involves

The successful candidate will:

• Manage a varied pipeline of work, including ad hoc queries and larger projects involving the drafting, review, comparison and analysis of insurance policy terms, enhancements and endorsements.
• Help differentiate Aon through technical excellence, bringing insight and expertise that supports strong client outcomes and innovative solutions.
• Contribute to the development of market-leading insurance terms, standardized slips and new product solutions.
• Attend broker, carrier and client meetings to provide guidance on specific coverage matters and technical issues.
• Partner with growth and account teams on coverage and product issues to support new business development and deepen client relationships.
• Create thought leadership on policy wordings, risk factors and market trends, and translate technical insight into practical guidance for the business.
• Research emerging coverage issues and produce guidance materials, tools and technical resources.
• Organise and deliver technical insurance training for brokers and other stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

• A law degree or relevant insurance qualification.
• 2–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience gained in private practice or in-house legal roles, with a focus on re/insurance contracts, policy terms, endorsements and related insurance documentation.
• Strong technical insurance knowledge, particularly across property and casualty product lines, including international and multinational contracts.
• Anunderstanding of the Asia, London/Lloyd’s and international insurance markets and related practices.
• A genuine interest in insurance, insurance products and the clients served by Aon Commercial Risk Solutions.
• Strong contract drafting skills, particularly in relation to policy wordings and coverage analysis.
• Excellent written English, with the ability to draft clearly ina modern, commercial style.
