Job summary

GIC is seeking an Associate, Corporate Communications, on a 12-month contract. You will shape and translate complex investment and market ideas into clear narratives for external and internal audiences.

You\'ll work on thought leadership content, collaborate across teams, and help prepare senior leaders for external speaking engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in journalism, economics, communications, or related field.
  • At least 2 years in financial/business journalism, editorial, or corporate communications.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and macro trends; interest in sustainability and technology.
  • Experience supporting editorial calendars and producing content across formats.
  • Comfort with events and speaking engagements; speaker briefs and logistics.
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CMS, marketing tech, and media monitoring tools is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Contribute to programming and content development for flagship events such as GIC Insights and key communications deliverables like the GIC Report.
  • Support measurement and analytics efforts to assess the reach and influence of GIC's thought leadership.

Corporate Affairs & Communications Department

The Corporate Affairs & Communications department is responsible for managing corporate affairs, branding and reputation, and all internal and external communications. It is GIC's interface with key stakeholders, including the general public, media, and employees.

Corporate Communications

We are seeking a talented storyteller and communications enthusiast to join our Corporate Affairs and Communications team as an Associate, Corporate Communications, on a 12-month contract. Working as part of the team that protects and enhances GIC's reputation with external stakeholders, including our investing partners and media, you will help translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content on themes such as long-term investing, sustainability, technology, and macroeconomic trends.

This role is well suited to someone with a strong editorial foundation, intellectual curiosity, and an interest in how capital shapes a more resilient future.

Under Thought Leadership, you will:
  • Be involved in the production and publication of thought leadership content across a variety of mediums (articles, research papers, speeches, multimedia pieces etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with team members to promote these content pieces through multiple channels (GIC's thought leadership page, ThinkSpace, external speaking engagements, external partners, social media, newsletters etc.).
  • Assist in preparing our senior leaders for external speaking opportunities and maintaining our briefing notes, guides, and other thought leadership resources.
  • Contribute to programming and content development work for flagship events such as GIC Insights and key communications deliverables like the GIC Report.
  • Support measurement and analytics efforts to assess the reach and influence of GIC's thought leadership.
Under Investment Communications (Asia) and Enterprise Risk, you will:
  • Assist in the communications around deal announcements and issues, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with GIC's reputation objectives.
  • Contribute to reputation management activities and work with senior team members to provide counsel to the investment teams on reputation risk and issue management.
  • Monitor and track media coverage in real time to identify emerging issues.
What makes you a successful candidate?
  • Bachelor's in a related field, preferably journalism, economics, communications, or similar.
  • At least 2 years in financial or business journalism, editorial, or corporate communications, ideally within a communications agency, consultancy, or financial services organisation.
  • Working knowledge of financial markets and interest in macroeconomic and investment trends, geopolitics, sustainability, and technology, with a willingness to build deeper domain expertise.
  • Track record of supporting editorial calendars and producing content across multiple formats (articles, social posts, newsletters, briefing materials, multimedia).
  • Comfortable supporting events and speaking engagements, from preparing speaker briefs to coordinating logistics.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CMS, marketing tech, and/or media/social monitoring tools is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive, with the ability to ramp up quickly in a fast-paced environment.
